Awarding One Child per Week a Free Spot in Our Annual Summer Camp
Summer Camp at Chalk is eight weeks long. This scholarship seeks to honor Tristin's memory by awarding one deserving child for each of those eight weeks with the opportunity to experience the magic of summer camp, just as Tristin did. We aim to extend this opportunity not only to those who have a passion for sports, dance, and creative expression but also to those who may be facing mental struggles, hoping to bring a ray of light into their lives.
Through this scholarship, we aspire to touch the hearts of eight children this summer, fostering joy, camaraderie, and personal growth within our camp community.
Tristin Cole Baker dedicated three memorable summers to Chalk as a Jr. Camp Counselor at Summer Camp, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment to enriching the lives of children made him a beloved figure among campers and staff alike. Tristin's infectious energy lit up every corner of Chalk, whether he was engaging in spirited dance battles, leading lively sing-alongs, or orchestrating imaginative pirate adventures. As a four-sport athlete and ardent lover of dance and song, Tristin embodied the essence of joyful living, bringing laughter and joy to all who crossed his path.
Each scholarship recipient will receive a one-week pass to attend Chalk School of Movement's summer camp during the 2024 season. This pass is valid for one week of the eight weeks of camp, which run from June 24th to August 15th. We will be awarding eight children, each with a one-week opportunity to join us for four days of camp fun, Monday through Thursday. Upon receiving your award, you may then schedule your week of camp. Scheduling preferences are subject to enrollment availability.
The scholarship for Chalk School of Movement's summer camp is funded internally by the organization itself. This means that the camp covers the costs of the scholarship, providing deserving children with the opportunity to experience a week of fun and learning without any external financial support. It's our way of giving back to the community and ensuring that all children have access to enriching experiences regardless of financial constraints.
