  1. Please walk in the parking lot and drive SLOWLY in the parking lot.
  2. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied and checked in at the front desk by a parent or guardian.
  3. Parents of young children should stay with their child until their class has officially started.
  4. Arrive and depart within ten minutes of the scheduled class time to ensure a smooth transition.
  5. Ensure compliance with all equipment-specific safety rules while using gym equipment.
  6. Kindly remove your shoes before entering gym floors or carpeted/matted areas.
  7. To maintain safety and quality, refrain from offering coaching advice or spotting others unless you are an insured employee of Chalk Gymnastics.
  8. For everyone's safety, please register and check in before using any equipment in the gym or Fort Chalk.

  1. To ensure a smooth and distraction-free class experience, please take care of restroom visits before the start of the class.
  2. We kindly request that no food or drinks be brought into the gym area, and chewing gum is not permitted during class.
  3. If you have water with you, please keep it in a closed container and place it at the bleachers or away from carpeted surfaces.

To ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all our students, please adhere to the following dress code:

  1. Girls may choose to wear leotards or opt for shorts and a tucked-in t-shirt. Please note that two-piece leotard outfits are not permitted in classes.
  2. For boys, we recommend shorts paired with a tucked-in t-shirt.
  3. During class, jewelry, jeans, and watches should not be worn.
  4. If your child's hair is long enough to reach their shoulders, kindly ensure it is completely pulled back for their safety.
  5. We encourage bare feet for gymnastics activities; therefore, please avoid wearing tights or socks during class.
  6. You'll find convenient cubbies available to store shoes, socks, jackets, and other belongings during class.

For an optimal experience, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Students should wait in the observation area until their class is called into session.
  2. Parents and/or guardians are welcome to watch classes from the bleachers ONLY.
  3. Please refrain from entering the gym floor during classes.
  4. If your child is not participating, following directions, or being disruptive, allow the instructor to handle the situation or discuss it with your child after class.
  5. To maintain a focused class environment, kindly avoid attempting to talk with your child during the session or entering various gym areas to take photos.
  6. Please note that only registered students are allowed on the gym floor.
  7. Limited seating is available, so we appreciate your effort to minimize the number of observers.
  8. Additional children/siblings may have the option to participate in monitored open gym sessions when available.

We believe these guidelines will ensure a positive and focused learning environment for all our students. Thank you for your cooperation!

  1. For the safety of all our athletes and guests, access to the gym is restricted to those accompanied by our professional staff or those attending a scheduled class (except during open gym hours).
  2. During open gym hours, children under the age of 13 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
  3. We kindly request that unsupervised children adhere to all posted rules. Non-compliance may result in parents being contacted for assistance.

  1. Athletes should arrive at least five minutes before their class begins to ensure they are prepared.
  2. Upon arrival at the gym, please check in for your class promptly.
  3. All athletes are expected to put forth their best effort and work hard during their sessions.
  4. Remember, your attitude plays a significant role in your progress. Keep it positive and enthusiastic!
  5. We encourage athletes to wash their hands before and after their class for hygiene and safety.
  6. Feel free to bring your own water bottle. Alternatively, we have a water fountain available in our lobby for your convenience.

Icon for truckCAMP SAFETY SOPS (STANDARDS OF PRACTICE)

On-Site Check-In and Check-Out:
a. Parents should accompany their child to the front desk to check them in for all classes and camps.
b. Camp attendees should be checked out with their camp counselor.
c. Please text any changes to attendance or check-in/check-out to our main Chalk line: 541-308-3366.
d. If there is no one at the front desk, you may check your child in or out directly with their coach.

Camp Van Check-In and Check-Out:
a. Children being picked up at school will be checked in by the Camp Counselor/Van Driver.
b. Notify Chalk of absences or changes in advance of pickups (by 12:00 pm) via text to the main Chalk line: 541-308-3366.
c. Parents must check their child out from the van at the pickup site.
d. The van will wait for 10 minutes from the scheduled pickup time before returning to Chalk.

Roll Call (Summer Camp):
a. Roll call is conducted daily at 9 am and throughout the day when location changes occur during summer camp at Chalk.
b. Roster printouts are taken on excursions, and head counts are performed with every van load and unload.
c. Camp counselors carry digital and physical rosters at all times.
d. Roll is taken and children are counted before leaving, upon arrival at their destination, before returning to CSOM Camp, and upon arrival back at CSOM Camp.
e. Children must stay in play areas where they can see their counselor at all times, and counselors are required to be active and attentive to the children, ensuring their safety.

Roll Call (After School Camp):
a. Roll call is taken in the van at school pickup and whenever location changes occur during after school camp at Chalk.
b. Roster printouts are taken on excursions, and head counts are performed with every van load and unload.
c. Camp counselors travel with digital and physical rosters at all times.
d. Roll is taken and children are counted before leaving, upon arrival at their destination, before returning to CSOM Camp, and upon arrival back at CSOM Camp.
e. Children must stay in play areas where they can see their counselor at all times, and counselors are required to be active and attentive to the children, ensuring their safety.

Van Travel and Excursions:
a. Excursions will not take place under the following conditions: wildfire or air quality beyond "moderate," weather advisories such as high heat or high wind, freezing temperatures, etc.
b. Trips will never include activities like open water swimming, mountaineering, skateboarding, exposure to cliffs, heavy crowds, or locations with no cell reception.
c. Parents will receive an itinerary via email to the address listed on their child's profile. This may include a day-by-day or week-by-week breakdown, or a general overview of our standard trips, depending on the format of the van travel. Summer Camp itineraries are typically week-by-week, and after school camp itineraries provide an overview of standard locations, updated seasonally.
